Curriculum
ESCP’s MBA in International Management was designed in order to provide young professionals with a deeper understanding of worldwide business. The main goal of the programme is to cover all the functional areas of management and provide students with a wealth of different perspectives.
ESCP’s MBA is an intensive programme with around 500 teaching hours. There is only one intake per year, every September. The programme and curriculum are structured around the following high points: onboarding online classes, core modules, 2 Company Consultancy Projects, 5 Seminars, 1 Specialisation, optional language courses and international Career events throughout the year.
MBA participants are given the opportunity to choose a Specialisation among the four offered. Based on personal career objectives, they can deepen their knowledge on a topic of interest: Consulting, Entrepreneurship, Luxury, or Fintech & Innovation. The Specialisation lasts five weeks and includes specialised courses and a real-life consulting project (CCP) on the theme chosen.
Hands-on experience plays a big part in the programme. MBA students are asked to participate in two Company Consultancy Projects. This way, they get the chance to consult for real companies and expand their international work experience.
ESCP’s MBA in International Management is the perfect start-point to a successful career in business.
Whether you are already familiar with business and management theories or are completely new to the field, ESCP’s MBA will allow you to cover all the functional areas of management. The internationality of the programme provides a rich multicultural experience.
Through core modules, a specialisation and two Company Consultancy Projects, you will be able to gather all the skills and knowledge needed in order to become an international business leader.
The full-time or part-time MBA in International Management can also be topped with an optional four to six-month internship, for more hands-on experience.
Accelerate your career
Attending ESCP’s MBA in International Management can help you launch a successful career transformation or progression. Our students come from very diverse fields and backgrounds.
Previous studies completed by MBA students include subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Hospitality, Law, Marketing or Sciences. This provides diversity in education and a fertile ground for valuable connections.
The average age of our MBA students is 30 years old. This means that most of our students have previous work experience and are looking forward to boosting their career or changing fields. In order to help them achieve their dreams, a team of advisors is here to accompany them through the I-LEAP programme. This allows for constructive feedback and a real sense of working towards a clearly-defined goal.
Core modules and specialisation
During the 10 to 34 months of your MBA, you will explore various topics through core modules and specialisation, for a total of around 500 teaching hours.
The Core Modules are taught from September to May on two campuses (Paris and Berlin or London) or online. They are followed by a Specialisation from June to July, taking place in Madrid, in Turin or online, based on the theme selected. Finally, July and August are dedicated to the redaction of the Thesis, a compulsory component of the programme that should reflect the experience and learnings acquired during the MBA.
For those studying online, courses take place at the end of each week, at a convenient time for all time zones (around European lunchtime) in order to allow professionals to continue working while pursuing their MBA. Each course is synchronous (live) for the opening and closing, asynchronous (recorded) for the rest of the module, and runs in parallel with the on-campus cohort.
The mindset of the core curriculum can be described as multicultural, entrepreneurial, strategic, sustainable, collaborative and fostering leadership. Subjects such as Data & Business, Sustainability & Entrepreneurship, Finance, Economics, Strategic Leadership or Marketing are part of it.
The Specialisation allows students to dive deeper into a specific subject of their choice:
- Consulting
- Entrepreneurship
- Luxury
- Fintech & Innovation
Multicultural hands-on experience and approach
ESCP’s MBA in International Management encourages diversity in education.
80-90 students enrol each year in the programme, accounting for 20+ nationalities
This intercultural dimension is a key component of the MBA programme and allows for a highly-stimulating international environment. Connections between students and alumni provide future graduates with global career opportunities.
The two Company Consultancy Projects in two countries are also a key element of the programme.
These projects enable students to know a specific sector or function while consulting with two companies (multinationals, SMEs and start-ups) on real projects.
In addition, the five seminars are yet another practical component of the MBA curriculum.
- I-LEAP - Professional Development
2 days - Problem Solving & Decision Making
3 days - Research Methodology - Thesis
2 days - International Business Simulation
