Introduction
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
ASE’s MBA program is modeled on an American-style MBA program, adapted for the African context. We aim to attract students from a range of backgrounds who are interested in becoming tomorrow’s leaders in African business. Students receive the same core training in economics and statistics as students in ASE’s other programs, supplemented with coursework in accounting, audit, business law, entrepreneurship, and management. We seek to prepare students to pursue careers in accounting, banking, consulting, finance, marketing, and management in the private sector as well as the nonprofit sector. A key advantage of ASE’s MBA program lies in its emphasis on quantitative and analytical methods and its broad range of partnerships with universities and corporations worldwide. These partnerships will provide students with the program unique exposure to the international business environment and the opportunity to interact with some of its major players. Students also have the opportunity to help organize and participate in ASE’s Finance and Management workshops and can take advantage of the international network to pursue internship opportunities while a student at ASE. The program offers two sub-fields: Finance and Marketing & Management.
